Merida, Yuc. (elgordogringo.com.mx) August 25, 2021.- the Leones de Yucatán and Diablos Rojos del México will face each other for the second consecutive season to see who will win the LMBs southern division. The highly anticipated battle will commence Friday at 7:00 pm at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in CDMX and come to Merida on Monday and Tuesday.

Yucatán is in the Championship Series for the sixth consecutive year and has beaten Mexico in three of its last four playoff series; the two teams did not meet this regular season due to travel restrictions so this is not only the series that will decide the division winner, but also the first time that the teams have faced off this year!

“I trust the quality of each of my teammates and we are all very clear about where we are going. In the playoffs we always push ourselves even more and that has been seen in these last two series. We are not going to stop fighting until we lift that trophy, ”

 Luis Juárez

The Leones were one game away from winning the southern zone in 2019; coming up one score shy of overcoming the Diablos and dashing their hopes of back-to-back league championships– repeating their 2018 championship campaign. In fact, this is the first time both teams will face one another since that 2019 divisional loss.

Tickets to experience the Championship Series in Merida are available at www.superboletos.com , Leoneshop Plaza Altabrisa, and stadium ticket offices; Prices start at $ 80 pesos in the Bleachers Zone where fans can enter with food for a baseball picnic; In addition, all games will have a promotion of 2 large glasses of Tecate beer for only $ 100 pesos.
