Villahermosa, Tab. (elgordogringo.com.mx) July 21, 2021.- Logan Ondrusek shone masterfully on the mound, and Norberto Obeso had an explosive offensive night to give the Yucatán Lions a 7-1 victory over the Olmecas de Tabasco this Wednesday in the Centennial Park on February 27.

Ondrusek gave up four hits and one run while striking out nine batters during his seven innings from the mound. Relievers Ruelas and Para continued the dominating performance by allowing a combined three hits zero runs for the remainder of the game.

Norton Obeso started a four-run rally in the fourth on a sacrifice bunt Yadir Drake crossed the plate advancing Sebastian Valle to second as Obeso took first. A single by Jorge Flores saw Valle cross the plate bringing the score to 2-1 Leones. We also saw Adolfo Valdez make his LMB debut when he hit a double to left field, driving Obeso home. The inning’s final run came from Alex Liddi, who, on a fielding error by the Olmecas centerfielder, Jorge Florez, crossed home, ending the inning 4-1 Leones.

A Walter Obeso score in the sixth and a pair of runs in the ninth by Fernando Perez and Art Charles ended the game 7-1 Leones.The final game of the series in Villahermosa will be tonight at 8:00 pm. Yoanner Negrín will take the mound for the Leones tonight, who made history earlier this year when he collected his 56th victory, the third-most in the organizations’ history.
