Ensenada, B.C. (elgordogringo.com.mx) July 22, 2021.- The Los Angeles Dodgers signed infielder, Luis Castañeda, who was trained at the Pacific Baseball Academy.
Luis gained the attention of the Dodgers while participating in the Baseball Acadamies Winter Camp and International Showcase held a few weeks ago in Playa del Carmen.
Castañeda is a native of San Quintín, Baja California, and was discovered by the Leones scout, Jorge Márquez, who immediately saw his potential as an infielder and batter; qualities that he now brings to the Los Angeles!
His signing was carried out in Ensenada, under the supervision of the Dodgers scout, Juvenal Soto, accompanied by his parents as well as representatives of the Pacific Baseball Academy. Luis becomes the 37th player in the last six years to leave the Leones for a Major League organization, showing the enormous commitment that the orginization has with the training of future stars of professional baseball.
