Leone’s starting pitcher Jake Thompson took the mound for the Leones, allowing three runs through his five-inning appearance when Thompson was brought out of the game, allowing relievers to take over who allowed one more run in the seventh.

The third inning saw two scoring drives as; a single from Yadir Drake seeing Alex Liddi across the plate and a double from the big man Luis Juarez driving in Yadir Drake, making the score 1-2 Leones to start the fourth inning.

The Braves scored on a 2-run homer in the fifth, followed by the most exciting play of the night in the sixth as Jorge Flrorez knocked Art Charles and Fernando Perez across the plate as a throwing error allowed Florez to stretch a double into a triple. 

The bravos tied things briefly in the seventh before Luis Jurez again stepped to the plate, hitting a single driving in Walter Ibara.

Game one ended with a Yadir Drake 2-run home run in the eighth inning that the Braves could not answer.

The second game of the series will be tonight at 6:45 pm, with the pitching clash scheduled between Bravos Gabriel García and Leones Dalton Rodríguez.
