Merida, Yuc. (elgordogringo.com.mx) July 15, 2021.- The Leones will be adding a new starting pitcher to their rotation in the former Clemson and Chicago Cub draft pick Casey Harman. Casey recently played in China, but before that, he was an LMB Allstar with the Pericos de Puebla, posting a 4.57 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 69 innings of work with a win/loss record of 8-1 through 13 starts.
The signing of Casey is also a reunion for players Sebastian Valle and Alex Liddi, who both played with Casey on the VENADOS in the LMP. Alex and Casey in 2019 both played for the Chinatrust Brothers baseball squad in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL)— Liddi becoming the first Italian player to play in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
The signing brings a lefty pitcher to a righty-dominated Leones roster. The season has 18 more games left, so I would expect Casey to be entering the lineup soon.
