After losing game one of Saturday’s doubleheader, the Leones came out strong in game two with a first-inning grand slam and a seven-run inning to win the game 18-7 and tie the series.

In a win dominated by offensive firepower, Sebastian Valle started things off in the first inning with a grand slam giving the Leones an early four-run lead to start the game. In the second, the home run tally was added to when Norberto Obeso scored on a rare solo-homerun and in the sixth as Art Charles knocks one over the center-field wall in the sixth inning for his ninth HR the season, bating in Jonny Jones.

The seven-run flurry in the seventh inning began with an Obeso– who went 4-4 for the game– center field drive knocking Jorge Flores across the plate. Yadir Drake, Alan Lopez, and Art Charles score on an Abraham Lopez to close the inning and game 18-7.

The last of the series is scheduled for today at 2:00 pm, the Cuban Yoanner Negrín as the starting pitcher. The game can be enjoyed live on jonró, La Comadre 98.5 and SIPSE TV.
