Merida, Yuc. ( July 6, 2021- In a game that saw Christian Prado take the mound in the fourth and the return of JJ Aguilar, the Leones poor bullpen rotation gave up six runs as our team batting average fell to a dismal .218 from .318 the previous night.

Starting pitcher Dalton Rodriguez gave up one run in the first inning before he was taken out of the game at the top of the fourth due to injury. Christian Prado got the call to come into the game, and after a shaky start to begin the fourth he threw a pop up and struck out the remaining batters to close the inning. With the way that Prado was slinging it– up to 90 MPH– it’s difficult to see why they wouldn’t allow him to retake the mound in the fifth after he just secured three quick outs for the Leones after coming in unexpectedly with little warm-up he got the recorded loss anyway, should have left him in the game.

Both scores of the game came off the bat of Liddi who in the first inning scores on a solo home run ( his 11th of the season) and in the eighth doubles on a fly ball to right allowing the shortstop, Jorge Florez, to cross the plate. JJ Aguilar’s first at-bat came in the third inning as he doubled doubles on a fly ball to center field– then immediately steals third base on the next pitch.

The third game of the series is tonight at 6:45 pm, the starting pitcher will be Radhamés Liz. The promotion is 4 × 2 in Zona Alta and Bleachers when buying tickets at, and Leoneshop Plaza Altabrisa. In addition, the first 500 fans to arrive at the stadium will receive a free Sidral Mundet.
