The score was close throughout the entire game until the eighth inning when the Leones started to pull away– scoring 3 runs in the last two innings to secure their victory over the Tigres.

The Leones entered the second inning down one run as Yadir Drake stepped to the plate smashing the ball out of the park scoring the tying run on his third home run of the season. Luis ¨pepon¨ Juarez knocked in a runner in the top of the fifth inning on a drive out to left-field, resulting in the Leones first lead of the game, but the Tigres answered in the bottom of the inning with two runs of their own bring the game to the seventh inning with a score of 2-3 Tigres.

With runners on both first and third, JJ Aguilar steps to the plate in the seventh inning, popping it up to right-field on a sacrifice fly, allowing the tying runner to cross the plate. The final innings saw three Leones cross home with back to back solo home runs to end the game.
